The Basics
I graduated from Denison University (Granville, Ohio) in 2010 with my B.A. in Environmental Studies. I studied how people and the environment interact and loved the small, liberal arts college on a hill. I got involved with campus organizations, went to interesting lectures and met great friends. After Denison, I knew I wanted to help people. I applied for and accepted a position with City Year Detroit. It was there I realized my passion for teaching young people. I graduated again in 2013 from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, Michigan) with my M.A. in Elementary Education and K-8 teaching certification with endorsements in Language Arts and Social Studies. Since graduating, I have been working in various teaching roles, preparing for my own classroom! I have also rekindled my affection for Zumba; I enjoy being active inside and out. My favorite book right now is "A Bad Case of the Stripes," because Camilla learns to be herself! |
